The RateSetter market is where Savers lend money to Borrowers. Displayed on this page are the real-time rates in the markets. There are four separate "terms", from Monthly Access up to 5 Year Income. Savers simply select the term they wish to lend for and select the rate they wish to lend at. It's as simple as that.

How it works:
Your money is lent for one month. At the end of the month, you can roll your contract over or you can withdraw your funds. Borrowers are re-matched in the market with new Lenders each month and enjoy a low-rate loan.
You commit to lend for one year. At the end of the one year term, you are repaid all the capital and interest in a lump sum.
You are committing to lend to RateSetter for three years. You are repaid in 36 equal monthly instalments consisting of capital and interest. You can choose to reinvest each repayment, or to take the repayments as an income.
You are committing to lend for five years. Your money is matched with borrowers looking for 4 or 5 year loans. You are repaid equal monthly instalments consisting of capital and interest, which you can either reinvest or take as an income.
Best for:
Monthly Access is similar to a variable rate, easy access product. It's ideal if you want easy, regular access to your funds, or if you're trying lending for the first time.
Those who want a fixed rate in the medium term. It is also a popular reinvestment market for repayments from longer term loans.
Those who want a fixed income over three years, or who are saving for the medium term.
Those who are saving for the long term, such as retirement, or who are looking for the best rate available.
