Celebrating our Queen’s Award for Enterprise win
This morning, we were delighted to be joined by the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Peter Estlin, at our London office to celebrate our Queen’s Award for Enterprise win. The Lord Mayor is the Queen’s representative for the City of London.
RateSetter CEO, Rhydian Lewis OBE, opened by saying: “The City has been a place of innovation for many centuries and we are proud that RateSetter has been recognised for continuing that tradition”.
Presenting the Queen’s Award to RateSetter, the Lord Mayor said: “My personal theme is around shaping tomorrow’s City today, and promoting the innovation and technology that is driving the UK economy. I can’t think of a better example…given the innovation and focus on financial inclusion – this is a great achievement. It is an absolute delight to present you with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in innovation for 2019”.
Accepting the Queen’s Award, RateSetter Chairman, Paul Manduca, said: “More than 500,000 customers have used our services – we want to take the numbers up a long, long way. We have a great opportunity to become a mainstream UK financial services industry”.
We would like to reiterate our thanks to all the people who have invested or borrowed through RateSetter because without their adoption of our innovation, this award would not have been possible.
RateSetter will further celebrate this success at a royal reception for Queen’s Award winners at Buckingham Palace next month.
