Releasing your investment early.

How do I access my money?

  • When your money is invested in RateSetter it becomes a loan to borrowers who agree a schedule of repayments plus interest.
  • Of course, your investment plans may change and you may want access to your money before it’s been repaid. If that happens, it’s possible to release your investment early to your holding account.
  • Early access is not guaranteed but it may be helpful to know that on average investors have been able to access their money within 24 hours.
  • When your money is back in your holding account you can action a one-off withdrawal to your bank account.
  • Auto-withdrawal function is also available if you wish to withdraw money on a regular basis back to your bank account.

How is my investment released?

Investors are matched with borrowers in our live markets

Every day money comes onto the RateSetter platform – investors make investments and borrowers make repayments. This money automatically goes into a queue to get matched with new loans as well as existing loans of investors who wish to release their investment.

Is early access guaranteed?

Early access to your money is not guaranteed. If there are no other funds immediately available in the market, you may have to wait a little longer. In an extreme scenario you may have to wait for borrower repayments. During this time, your money will still be earning interest.
