Bonus terms and conditions

1. This offer is open to all new and existing RateSetter customers.

2. RateSetter has recorded your total ‘on loan’ and ‘on market’ invested balances as of 23:59 on 10th March 2020 (your “initial balance”). If you opened your RateSetter account after this time, we will take your initial balance as zero. If you hold an ISA account and an Everyday account, the totals will be combined for the purpose of this promotion. Balances in your Holding Account will not count towards this total.

3. RateSetter will again calculate your total invested balance as of 23:59 on 5th April 2020 (your “future balance”). Balances in your Holding Account at that time will not count towards this total, but any Holding Account funds as of 10th March that are invested as of 5th April will count.

4. You will qualify for:

  • a £50 bonus if your invested balance increases by between £5,000 and £9,999.99
  • a £100 bonus if your invested balance increases by between £10,000 and £19,999.99
  • a £200 bonus if your invested balance increases by between £20,000 and £49,999.99
  • a £500 bonus if your invested balance increases by £50,000 or more

5. If you add money to your RateSetter account by debit card, bank transfer or ISA Transfer, you must invest it before 23:59 on 5th April to count towards the future balance.

6. For the avoidance of doubt, any investments released to your holding account or repaid and not reinvested will net off against any new investments made. Any interest earned and reinvested during the promotion will however count towards your future balance.

7. As explanatory examples:

  • If your initial balance was £10,000 and you took no action, and so had a future balance of £10,000 you would not earn a bonus
  • If your initial balance was £10,000 and you deposited and invested £5,000, and so had a future balance of £15,000, you would earn a £50 bonus
  • If your initial balance was £10,000 and you deposited and invested £5,000 but released £500 of investments, and so had a future balance of £14,500, you would not earn a bonus
  • If your initial balance was £10,000 and you deposited £5,000 but did not invest it, and so had a future balance of £10,000 you would not earn a bonus
  • If your initial balance was £10,000 and you had £5,000 in your holding account and invested it, and so had a future balance of £15,000, you would earn a £50 bonus
  • If your initial balance was £10,000 held solely in an Everyday account and your transferred this £10,000 to a RateSetter ISA account, and so had a future balance of £10,000, you would not earn a bonus
  • If your initial balance was £10,000 and you transferred £10,000 from another ISA provider and invested it, and so had a future balance of £20,000, you would earn a £100 bonus

8. Earned bonuses will be credited to your Everyday account, and invested in the Access product, by 30th April 2020.

9. If you receive a bonus your funds must remain on the RateSetter platform for at least 1 year from the date of qualification. If you withdraw your investment early, we reserve the right to request for any earned bonuses to be returned.

10. RateSetter may, in its sole discretion, pay a bonus if a balance increase is delayed past 5th April 2020 as a result of (in RateSetter’s opinion) a delayed ISA Transfer.

11. The maximum bonus per customer under this promotion is £500.

12. The promoter of this offer is RateSetter (a trading name of Retail Money Market Ltd), 6th Floor, 55 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 3AS and we reserve the right to amend or withdraw the offer at any time.
